  • Solid introduction to William Spratling and his work

This books appears to have been written first and foremost as a catalogue to accompany an exhibition, but this in no way detracts from the readability or value of this book. It opens with a highly readable biography of William Spratling himself (a real Indiana Jones type bloke, for sure!), then has n extensive series of beautifully-shot, single page photos of really lovely pieces from his workshops. As a newcomer to Spratling's work, I found this book immensely informative and useful.
