      Great anchor winch

      I love these anchor winches. BUT MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE CIRCUIT BOARD ALSO!!!!!!! They will burn out my father n law has gone thru 2 circuit boards in 2 years. When the first one went out he bought another deckhand. He told me what happened I researched and ordered circuit board. And it is back up and running. So now he has a spare deckhand. And also ordered him 2 circuit boards so he has them on hand if it ever happens again!!!!!

      plastic cover won't last, cheap rope, good internals

      The install was easy. The supplied rope won't last long. it frays very easy. The plastic cover won't take any abuse and it could be more custom fitted to the unit. it looks big and bulky. the internals seem well built. summary: it works as advertised. would I buy it again. not unless the outside cover was designed better. I could engineer a much better cover that would be up to the normal abuse from boating. the cheap plastic cover and rope really take away from what could be a great product.

      Good quality at an affordable price. This Minnkota anchoring system adds a touch of convenience that you won't regret. Well worth the investment, but plan on adding length to the power cable and the remote switch adds to the convenience.

      Needs a few things to be great.

      Seems well built, but is missing a few features to be considered great....especially for the money. The rope needs a finished end instead of having to tie a knot, the power chord is laughably short, and it did not come with lock washers or lock nuts. Time will tell if it holds up to regular use.

      just do it!

      Super handy when fishing in current! I've been doing some river fishing, and this is a must. Strong enough to lift an anchor that will hold the boat in current. The drop button takes all the work out of staying put!
