    Interesting Characters in Funny Situations in Vintage Rural Ireland

    A humorous, period piece with nice exteriors, interiors, costumes and great characters: Peter Bowles is excellent as he is in other series he's done. A good inside look at how rural life was in Ireland around 1900. Lots of horses, horse dealings, vintage carriages, races, hunting to hounds. I needed to run the English subtitles to help with some of the Irish accents. Glad I bought this series. I came to really enjoy many of the characters, so it is a series I will watch over and over.

    Excellent...All 3 Seasons are Great in different ways..Gorgeous Irish scenery and Great fox hunting scenes, etc. Supporting cast is perfection...Peter Bowles is the BEST!!! Strong production values!!! Dramedy perfectly realized!!

    Subtle British humour

    A fish out-of -water story with strong characters. I felt the third season suffered a little as one of the main characters left due to contractual obligations, but the series finale was marvelous! You will want to use the sub-titles for a lot of what the character Slipper says because the Irish accent and idioms become incomprhensible at times, but he was my favourite charcter nonetheless.
