    Great remake

    This movie is engaging from beginning to end. Disney did a wonderful job in putting together a great cast. Incredibly entertaining. I've watched this twice (originally in the theater) with my 6 year old son. He sat through the movie both times. He loved the music and special effects. With the exception of one scene (I won't spoil it) it was age appropriate. At home over the holiday we watched this and the original animated film back to back. He thought it was great.

    Not what I expected. At All!

    A bunch of dancing and singing. Basically a dumb musical if you like that. I expected a love story like the dramatic series on TV. Why must they sing and dance their lines? So dumb! I'm getting my money back. Good I didn't pay for this in the cinema. If you like artsy fartsy musicals, you'll love this. If you have half a brain or more, stay away from this ridiculous movie!

    Wonderful movie and great transaction

    Phenomenal remake and smooth transaction. Always worried with these live versions, and they usually disappoint. However, I have to say I like this one better than the cartoon version, and I did not think that was possible. Scenes were more flushed out and better background and reasoning were given, but not too much. I was always a little disappointed the cartoon version ended so abruptly and you were just supposed to believe everyone lived "happily ever after." This one takes it just a little bit longer, and makes it a much better ending. Great movie.

    Great princess,family movie!

    Cute movie and fun to watch. Animation is neat and special effects are great. Storyline pretty true to original cartoon. Beast was great, Belle and Gaston, ok, could have chosen better ones, but it was still pretty good. Like the ending. Children under 4 may be scared at the scene where the beast fights the Gaston character. My 7 year old liked it. I give it thumbs up overall.

    The English version of a French story. Really good!

    I had never watched Beauty and the Beast until I babysat grandkids and they had an animated version. Intrigued, I found two live action movie versions online and watched this one. Wow! Very interesting. It seems to be taken from and kept true to the original French story written by a French author. No dancing tea pots in this movie... it's the same story but completely different... better!
