    This movie was a bio of the late Dr. Peter Marshall(a Presbyterian minister)

    I have recently reread the book by the same name and wanted to see the movie again and it(the movie) was in very good shape to have been made in the early 1950s . The DVD was in very good condition and arrived earlier than the date indicated on the order.

    The DVD worked very well with no issues. As far as the story goes, "A Man called Peter" highlights key moments in the life of Peter Marshal. Stories about real people like this are important because they shed light on the common struggles and unique life experiences of fellow human beings. While the film was emotionally compelling to some degree, there is a bit of a crispness to each of the characters that seems to paint an ideal over top of the reality (but that is common is most movies). The plot takes some unexpected twists and turns (sounds like real life eh?). Note: If you listen to an audio clip from one of the real Peter Marshal's sermons and then compare it to the delivery of the actor in the film, you will have quite the study on your hands.
