The screen did have some smudges on it, but they were easily wiped off. No scratches seen either. The device itself is great, both in regards to features (volume knob, buttons, equalizer, BT multipoint in the latest firmware) and audio quality. With the included case on, it's a bit thick though (about twice the thickness of my phone with its case on).
