    Disappointing

    I had read a lot of good comments about this model (wdr-3600 v1) but I don't have much good to say about it. Given the price tag, it's below average in almost every way, except for the processor and memory, which is somewhat above average, having dual band wifi (but read on before you praise that too much), and the dual usb slots. First off, it's an Atheros based model, which is fine for most people, but I prefer Broadcom, esp when it comes to DD-WRT and the features and compatibility that come with the custom firmware (there's no repeater mode option even with the most recent firmware as of 08/2016). The wireless radios are WEAK. How weak? Well my room mates antenna-less ISP-provided Netgear DSL modem/router has a stronger signal than this does, and not just by a couple dBm either. ...

    Great DD-WRT Product

    Flashed this w/ DD-WRT as Linksys has a file size checker that made OpenWRT difficult. DD-WRT went on easily and was easy to configure.
