    A lot of fluff.

    The story-so far-is great, although there seems to be a lot of extra words. I personally prefer a story without so much extra "fluff" and unnecessary wording. I haven't gotten half way through it, and it seems to be taking longer than usual with all the tiny details that detract from the story itself. Of course this is just my opinion, but I do recommend it because the core story is very good. Hope this helps.

    Great read!

    This is my all time favorite book! It's not an action filled book, but one that really keeps your attention and makes you root for the characters. If they ever turn this into a movie I would be hesitant to see it, because Pat Conroy really paints a beautiful story.

    Pat Conroy, a master story teller.

    You cannot go wrong with any of the Pat Conroy novels. If you love the South, especially South Carolina, I highly recommend that you read all of the Pat Conroy novels that are available. His tales intrigue and his characters are marvelously drawn.
