    Excellent product, very competitive price.

US based CyberPower manufactures very high quality UPSes. This model (one of three in the series) is a pure sine wave model. I was unable to find any reputable brand pure sine wave output UPS within similar price bracket. Another well known brand, APC, offers similar model at almost twice the price! The CyberPower PFC is very well made, and has six Aus standard sockets at the back. Free software provides full information about the UPS status, and full history log. Front panel LCD is very clear and provides comprehensive information, including power consumption and predicted time UPS can run devices with power failure. The LCD status panel turns itself off if no button is pressed for about 1min, which is great. The UPS is completely silent - a rear cooling fan activates only when there is ...

    Poor backup UPS

Don't believe the specifications. I bought two of them and use them to supply low current devices. The UP time for about 150watts was about 1.5hrs during last 8hr blackout.

  • Perfect UPS for home business

This UPS is compact (like a very small PC tower) and finished to a really high standard. The unit is really easy to install and operate and the software (which you download - it isn't missing from the box!) is easy to use and has a heap of features. The main reason for my review is to offer some idea just how long the unit will power your PC. I have a 27" HP Pavilion all-in-one with touch screen - power supply is 150w - and the software suggests I will achieve around 2 hrs of battery run-time. I know this may not be totally accurate, but if your looking for a unit that will give you at least an hour of standby power, I would recommend this UPS without reservation. We've had a couple of short power outages since installing the UPS, and it performed faultlessly - no interruption ...

  • Very easy to use good product

APC 1400 UPS is very well designed and polished product with 6 back-up power outlets. It worked without any issue as soon as it was connected. The unit was tested by turning off mains power to the UPS with about 400 W load. The battery back up clearly maintained the uninterrupted power for sometime giving sufficient time for safe turning off the PC and accessories. However, it is difficult to say the back-up powering period as unit was not left to shut down.

  • Good basic UPS

I needed something of higher capacity than the SmartUPS 550 that had failed in my lab (yes, it did warn me that it was getting overloaded). This unit is more basic (no digital displays, much more difficult access to battery when it needs replacing) but has twice the capacity at a similar price point. Loads connect via standard power plugs rather than IEC sockets. Quality looks good, I expect a similar longevity as other consumer APC products (2-8 years in my situation, depending on application and what the power company throws at us), time will tell.
