      The best idea in cable ends EVER!!!

      Silent switches are my favorite cable ends. If you have more than one instrument to use in a set, this is the only way to go. No more putting your amp on "standby" and forgetting to flip it back. All of my cables have these on them. I highly recommend Neutrik Silent Switch.

      Love these things!

      The only thing I don't really like is that the right-angle plug's profile is a little "proud" when plugged into a guitar with the output on the bottom edge(Les Paul). This is only a slight problem when you're seated, and I certainly got over that. The first time you play and don't have that annoying, speaker-blowing, window-rattling static when you plug in...You'll LOVE it! I actually soldered these onto George L's cable, with a George L's on the other end, and they work wonderfully. Just go ahead and buy a couple of these right now.

      Great jack plug for passive electric instruments.

      These are great and stop the annoying amp noise changing guitars without adjusting the amp down or standby. Does not do this for active basses (and guitars) because those usually have "power up noise" that occurs after the ground in the jack plug has already lifted.
