The figure has great detail and articulation never the less Hot Toys cut some corners with this release: first of all the materials used give a very cheap feel to it. It feels like a very light fragile and low grade plastic the sort you might find on some cheap dollar store Chinese trinkets which often serve the most basic purpose and are very low quality. Second issue is the scale. It is an endoskeletone - the robatic skeletone of the terminator - spenning from that fact it'd make sense for it to be smaller in size than the Arnold T-800 figures Hot Toys produced in its earlier releases. Yet this figure is somewhat taller and wider in the shoulders than the Terminator Genisys Guardian figure - even though they are from the same movie and the skeletone is supposed to be that of the T-800 model which the Guardian happens to be. Also the relaxed hands on the prototype photos look as if the fingers on them can be moved while the figure in hand has them sculpted - another thing that I found to be desapointing. As far as all the rest goes, it's a nice figure and looks good on the shelf. Though given all the shortcomings I believe that it is overpriced - especially due to the cheap plastic that was used for its making. The figure is very fragile and should be handled with care. Other wise it's very easy to demage.
My hot toys action figure has been opened and damaged
My terminator action figure box has been opened at some point. Someone had broken the leg piston and tried to glue it back on. This is unacceptable. I paid a lot of money for an “unopened” hot toys.
