a modern update on the old samurai movies
the thing that drew me to this series was that it seemed to be trying to update the old story's from the old samurai movies for modern times while still trying to remain true to them ( i later found out that this series is based on a old samurai movie called seven samurai ) so that is what got me in to it seeing a story and the characters being done old school in modern times but there are a lot of new blood pumped in to it instead of being set in the past it is set in some made up future time with cyborgs and flying ships that have a old school japan theme to them helping to keep in tune with the old samurai movies okay so what is the story a small village of farmers have been having there harvest taken from them being left with so little they can hardly eat them self's so they send some of there young to the city to try and hire samurai to help save them at first it looks like there is no way they will find any one as all they have to pay with is rice from there village but as they keep going they find a team of true samurai all characters with unique charms while the story of saving the village is going on there is a second story being set up with a young rich boy who is going to become a threat to the entire country this is not the greatest series ever but it is a nice watch and like i said it is nice to see this old school story telling that is still being felt in modern day anime the hit series one piece just had a great story ark with a strong samurai theme to it that came from movies like the ones this series is taking it cues fromVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
