The second unexpected disc appears to be a demo CD that the artist passed around to venues at the time. I am in contact with her to sort that out.     One of the best Beethoven String Quartet sets ever

    These are aggressive, exciting performances of Beethoven's String Quartets. The sound quality, tempi, and performances, with Ge-Fang Yang as first violin, are better than the Alexander Quartet's later recording of the set, although Yang does tend to play sharp (above correct pitch) in some passages. By comparison, the Guarneri Quartet's recordings of the Middle Quartets sounds bland and a bit distant (though their recording of the Harp Quartet is the most beautiful I know of, and their performance of the last movement of the Op. 59, No. 3, is the fastest).
