    It helps

This is a product with a true YMMV. I have a Ford explorer with the 4.0L OHV. I believe the head is cracked, you can probably DIY this repair complete for under $500 with new heads, in a day. There is no timing, just exhaust bolts and block prep time. It went from almost 100% misfires (flashing CEL), to a few misfires at warmup, and seems to be improving with each use. I have a scan tool that counts misfires, it usually misfires up to 500 or so and stops for the rest of the trip. About a mile or so. The misfires are mild. It can definitely buy you time. Combustion chamber to coolant leaks are difficult to seal because of pressure. The engine is a pump, and you could even see coolant rise in the radiator. The idea is that small amounts of sodium silicate wick into the crack and the heat from combustion will form a glass. There is always an instant with the cyl not under compression, and some product can enter the crack. The crack may also change because of temperature and get worse, so it is probably not a permanent solution, but who knows. It is a second car, so mostly use it for local stuff, if it gets worse I can repair it. There is also flax seed to plug external coolant leaks. I also replaced a freeze plug which had a scratch in the bore. This plugged the leak. Supposedly that plug remains even if the product is removed. **UPDATE** After replacing the cracked spark plug (likely from the leak), driving almost 2000 I consider this fully repaired. The temp gauge also stays put, does not wander to the cold zone (because of air in the coolant). Feels like a new truck. Great PRODUCT.

    Jurry still deliberating

At first my coolant leak from the heater core cascaded down the right side of the lower dash now since adding Kseal it has moved to the left onto the gas pedal. The heater core is bypassed again allowing it to dry out and I will reconnect it soon and see what happens. Based on what I see the leak has somewhat been sealed but not totally. I might try a second application or see what results are after a coolant flush. Every situation is different!

  • Amazing sealer!

My 2000 Ford ranger 3.0 V6 engine began to leak coolant around the timing cover gasket on the passenger side. It was a slow but steady leak. I heard good things about K-Seal and sure enough, it did the job. It stopped the leak within minutes and has held up for over a month so far...

  • Good so far

Not sure what to check to see if this really worked but I do recommend you shake it up before you pour it in.. LOL I don't have any leaks.

  • Excellent for small to moderate leaks

This stopped a stubborn leak in a very difficult to reach connection that had a mild leak after just a few minutes. The leak has not returned after about 10000 miles of driving both city and highway.
