Certainly a classic film, however I found stretches of it to be more tedious than I recalled from watching it years ago. It's a great transfer to Blu-ray though, and the best scenes are still indelible. Amateur cast, based on the the William Golding classic novel, directed by auteur Peter Brook. It's a Criterion release, so of course you get a lot of extras. It's nice to have this Blu-ray but I'm kind of on the fence about it cause I don't know if I'd ever want to watch it again...
