Single remote solution for complex AV setup
Using a single remote to control our TV, Humax box, PS3 & Amazon stick greatly simplifies our AV system, my wife is much happier now we have a single remote. The Harmony Hub also overcomes the line of sight issues we previously had with IR remotes. Placing the Harmony hub took a little fine tuning, programming was relatively straightforward using the Harmony app. The app is also good as it means you no longer have the keep the original remotes to had for setup adjustments as the app includes every remote function possible. My only complaint would be the lack of support for Hive, having already invested in Hive heating and half a dozen Hive light bulbs it would be nice to use the Harmony remote to control these as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

ONLY BUY IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF SPARE TIME ON YOUR HANDS or maybe you'll be lucky and get it going first time...I wanted this product for ALEXA control...A tedious product to set up... however programming easy... a lot of faffing around to get it just right...operating instructions abysmal... no media button on remote to enable STB playback... buttons fiddly NOTE YOU CANNOT ADJUST ALEXA VOLUME WHEN YOU'VE INSTALLED you have to launch e.g. radio then reduce volume then quit radio.... not all stated ALEXA features work eg channel up channel down ... still working on it ... will get there EVENTUALLY.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointing product
I have encountered all manner of issues with this product. First and foremost is the app - It's astoundingly bad for a big brand like Logitech. It's very evident that costs were cut here and the underdeveloped UI makes set up and programming of the remote a very frustrating task indeed. You'll want to hold on to all of those original remotes to teach Harmony some IR signals - Harmony could switch on one of my devices but could not power it off. Harmony could switch on my TV and adjust the volume but that is all. Be prepared to put a bit of work in to getting everything working as it should. The 'Activity' based control is poorly executed and very restrictive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great idea, awful execution
Works the first time, but after that it's hit and miss. The mobile and desktop apps are over engineered and overly restrictive and won't let you fully program the device. The mobile app is difficult to use and the desktop app doesn't work on Windows 10. In all honesty a waste of money - steer well clear!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to handle, great functionalities and excellent reach
Great product, handles ergonomically very well and is very light. Updating the settings is very easy via the Android app. The long ( 1 sec) and short ( 1sec) press option is very handy for assigning 2 functions to a single button. The ability to assign (and store) sequences is great. The learn function for remote functions not available works well. A minor minus point is the power option can be a bit tricky for devices that do not have a separate power on and power off button, as the remote can not always know if the device is already on. I solved it by assigning the power toggle function for the 'core' device to the long press Ok button. The Hub infared signal has a good reach and the the infared extenders can be used for devices that can not be easily reached. The RF communication between the remote and the Hub is super, no line of sight is need and works through walls. I like the fact the remote has no touch screen, so you can hold it without worrying that you accidentally operate the remote. I have bought many universal remotes over the years, but this is far out the best I have ever had.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very hard to program

It's a gateway to a new, better universe!
One could argue that this should be a 4 star review. The negative star deserved for the poor user experience from the desktop app, the less than intuitive mobile app, especially when deep in the structure of the app making changes etc. However overall, with a little patience, with most devices being recognised and the sheer joy of being able to control all your devices, through activities, with one controller simply washes away the other disappointment. Harder than it should be.
