    So Much Better

    This router is head & shoulders above the 4 port Wi-Fi router my home security provider installed. I especially like the fact that the Netgear has both 2.4 and 5GHz radios so my older laptop connects fine on the lower frequency and my new phone really zips on the 5Gig.

    Too low Wi Fi speed

    I purchased this router used. Had no problem to set it up. However, the WiFi speed is less than half what I used to get from other WiFi router -- I updated the firmware. For example, I got 16~18Mbps from even older NetGear WN2000v3 N300 Wireless Router, but could only get around 8~10Mbps from this router. I changed to a AC1200 router, and could get more than 30Mbps -- using the same 802.11n on 2.4GHz. (My ISP speed is 50Mpbs download). The wired connections have no problem -- getting the full ISP apeed.

    Netgear R6200 ac1200

    After getting cable I was told my router was not fast enough to work with cable and after checking I found the cable company used Netgear routers . I bought this Netgear router on eBay hooked it up and it all most installed it self,it works very well and I am very happy with it.

    NETGEAR AC1200 ROUTER

    I switched from renting an Xfinity router to this Netgear router. The speed is faster than the Xfinity and the range is just as good. Now I don't have the rental fee from Comcast! Overall I'm very pleased with this router.
