I am using this substrate for my Cyclocosmia truncata trapdoors of the South and the Cyclocosmia torreya trapdoors of the Florida panhandle and southwest Georgia. Both species live in sandy clay of various colors, from red and orange to even yellow sandy ochre clay. This is a sandy red/orange clay. Meaning, it is highly absorbent of water. Perfect substrate for raising trapdoor spiders. Thanks, Tommy!
