    Lionel 6416 Boat Loader with Original box

    One of the harder early 1960's Lionel production pieces. It has 4 Athern boats and was part of a couple rare Lionel sets. The piece was also made for separate sale. Very nice visual piece weather on the track or displayed on a shelf. Every serious Lionel post war collector should have one in his collection especially with the original box. Caution should be used when buying one as there are reproduction boats sometimes put on original boat loader cars. The original boat hulls are painted white over a black molded plastic bottom, The newer or reproduction boat hulls are not black molded plastic. All in all a very enjoyable piece to find and collect.
