Excellent Day Camera's, Not worth Having Night Camera's
For the Money, it is a great value, but if you need IR, Night Vision Camera's they are worth nothing. The system works fantastic, it was very easy to set up, Hung the camera's, ran the wires, plugged them in, set up the DVR, Scan the code on the bottom of the DVR to my phone, and I am watching my neighborhood with my phone and at work. I will by some better IR Camera's as it is an 8 camera system, but only comes with 4 camera's. Zmodo app is bether than Zsight app. Camera's pull right up. It's a little quirky but it works fine. Good for live video only in my opinion
Pros: Live video Easy setup Cons: 1). Motion detection is a joke. All false alerts. Detects by picture to picture differences. Wind blows, a branch moves, motion alert. Change in cloud cover, motion alert. When it comes dusk and the unit switched to night mode, motion alert. 2). Night mode needs its IR leds on continuously. Sounds reasonable but it attracts insects, motion alert. Then the spiders catch on and build webs in front of the camera, motion alert. 3). Video access with Cloud service very slow. If you subscribe to the cloud service, it takes me between 5 to 10 minutes to see a video.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Like the product but one camera stopped working.
I've had my cameras up and running for a little over a month now. Super happy with the easy set up and installation, plus the app for your phone is easy to use. 3 of my 4 cameras are working great with no issue but my 4th camera had been "glitchy" for a few days in a row then completely stopped working. I've contacted the Zmodo tech support over and over for help and they continue to tell me the same thing... "it's my router." I've followed all of their suggestions and nothings working. All of my other cameras are working flawlessly and this camera was too until just a few days ago with no changes to the router or wifi.. so I know it's not my router. I seem to be getting no where with their tech support. The camera it's self is shot, my friends bought a similar package and had the same problem. The company replaced their camera free of charge, not sure why I am not being offered to have my product replaced even though I keep running into the same problem with no solution. I love the cameras that I have and was considering buying 2 more to add to our property but I will be holding off until I see how the other 3 cameras hold up, one month of use before becoming inoperable isn't worth the price. In a few steps it was up and running, in 1 hour or less i was videoing. My only complaint is trying to power each individual camera, it has a very short power cord so i had to run extention cords all around house, once someone realizes how these work they will probably just run up and unplug the camera. I eventually will run the cord into attic and install plugs for them up there. Comes with a 500gb hdd installed. Also the 4 domes are for indoor use, i installed one under porch at front door but dont expect it to survive outside. Overall im pleased, easy quick setup for immediate results. Just a minor thing
For the price, the cameras are great. I previously had wired cameras and used Blue Iris software. If I could still use the software I would be happier. The only thing I see about the cameras is their range of detecting a person or other motion. They do have a great viewing area if looking at the live feed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice reliable cams
Unlike Sricam which I have two, these cameras are great in every respect. Wifi viewing and remote viewing is very reliable with good image quality. They have a great response time, easy setup, the software is easy to use directly from your phone, tablet, or computer. Easy setup, clear picture security system at a reasonable price
When we received the individual boxes, we weren't sure what to do but it was actually an easy set up. The issue I had was that you must be close to an outlet in order to use camera or end up running long extension cords to get to outlet. Great cams but iCloud$$$$👎🏼
These cams are great, but the only problem is that you have to pay iCloud subscription I had to return these zmodo cams, because I can’t afford paying $125 a year for the 4 cams for iCloud subscription....which when at first got them i wasn’t aware that I had to pay $$$..I just got the nigh owl cams ..they are expensive but hey no worries about bills, and they are WiFi and 1080 hd..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
