    Does what its supposed to do.

    This replaced a power adapter that had failed. Given the age, they last a long time. Fortunately I had a power cord from the one that failed to use with this replacement.

    Apple power supply is best

    Look for genuine Apple power supplies for the silver edge Cinema Display monitors. They require a powerful DC source, and I have seen engineers splice a standard power supply onto an Apple Cinema display, be sure the power and amperage are enough based on the writing on the bottom of the monitor.

    Great unit to fire up older Apple monitors

    Apple sold these at first for $100 in 2002 to be used with a !7" to 20" monitor. I heard it will even support 22" units but I would not bet on it..... It has about 65w and they get lost not burned out. I have several and never had a problem....except leaving it plug in some where and forgetting to take it with me.

    Apple cinema display power adapter

    Sturdy and solid. Seems constructed with typical cord wear caused by bending and connection failures in mind. Even a pre-owned adapter can continue to withstand frequent manipulation and stress on the wall jack. Seems reenforced around the neck of connector, which is where most cords tend to fail
