Good product with only one dislike. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 stars.
Everything in the kit looks like quality and I recently used it with a non-Dremel attachment and it worked just fine. I would have given it a 5 star but I don't like the variable switch. It is set up in increments instead of a rotary switch that has fine adjustment. My old Dremel has a variable switch without the speed steps the new one has.

Don't buy refurbished tools!
I bought this Dremel 3000 as a refurbished product. The collet is stuck. I cannot get my tool out of the collet I hold down the locking pin, however it is slipping every time I try to loosen the nut. I noticed wear, dark marks on the threads where the nut screws on. It may have been refurbished, but I can't use it. Finallly, I gave up and went to the big box store and bought a new one. Which so far works just fine.

Dremel lives up to a stain
now I know why Dremel's cost more money than other cheap knockoffs this product is so well made. The motor is powerful the parts are well made I was afraid that this device might be noisy but it's not. at first I was going to buy a cheaper and knock off brand but after using this one I'm so glad I did not instead about the genuine brand that earnest its name and reputation.

My experience with this tool covers many years of using this tool for countless small jobs from cutting to polishing boat parts. I've pushed them so hard that I have wrapped them in cloths to combat the heat from hours of continued use cutting blisters from the bottom of my boat's bottom.

Product doesnt even work
After i used once i tried to change the cutting wheel the damn thing didnt lock no matter how hard i pressed the button so i threw it on the ground and broke it from fustration lost my job and the only thing i could afford to get didnt even work. Wish i couldve saved 50$.. Ss

Well, I guess it's OK
Switch inoperative at start up sometimes. Only one collet (sp), for different diameters of attachments, room in box for 3 more, was a Dremel "reconditioned" drill! It's OK, but not up to old Dremel standards., and I am not thrilled with it!
