    Just what I needed.

    I can only attest to how I used this item. I was taking 24 VAC from my furnace and changing it to 12 VDC. This allowed me to use the 12 VDC as a trigger for an X-10 home automation module. It has been working great for me for several days and I anticipate it working for a long time.

    AC to DC convertor.

    I used this to fix a buzzing water solenoid on an Aprilaire humidifier, it's well made and runs cool. The removable terminal block made wiring it up easy. Recommended.

    Small and efficient

    I bought this for a camera enclosure with environmental controls requiring 24VAC with plans to use a camera that runs on 12VDC. I thought that I would need to build my own converter. Then I found this. I hooked it up and checked the voltage at 12.1VDC. Since my camera is speced at 6-12V (absolute max) I went ahead and ran the output through a 7.2V buck converter. I am very happy with this unit and plan to buy another one for a different camera project.

    Great for HVAC project boards

    I got this to run a esp8266 relay board off of 24vac for an air damper. Originally I designed a power supply that generated a lot of heat to reduce the voltage to what the board needed. I then came across this and tried it out... it doesn't get hot at all and provides a clean output. Way more efficient than what I had built!
