    A small sample helps a big decision

    Makes choosing the right colour fabric very simple. You can never say for sure if a fabric will be suitable when viewed under the wrong lighting in a shop - let alone on a screen. I would have selected a predominantly blue tapestry fabric on screen but then noticed the swatch service. I ordered the nearest colour ranges I could see with the same pattern. From 5 swatches (8cm x 8cm samples from large patterned fabrics) I could select a perfect colour match - which was NOT the one I would have chosen. When the 4 metres of fabric arrived I was thrilled with it and knew immediately I'd made the correct decision.

    Tiny swatches

    I was pleased to receive the swatches - but 99p each - really ? They were so tiny you still can’t really get a proper idea of what it would look like. I used to have a soft furnishings shop many years ago - I would have never expected my customers to choose or put in a good order for 35metres from that tiny fragment and certainly would not have insulted them with a 99p charge - twice- 99p each ? Come on !! Feeling pretty disgusted and ripped off. Such a shame as I really wanted to order a large amount of fabric and get cracking.

    Efficient and friendly.

    I am planning on reupholstering 8 dining chairs so I don't want to make a mistake when buying the fabric. It is quite risky buying fabric from the internet as colours may not show true on screen and its is hard to access handle and texture. It is well worth the expense of getting a few swatches to make sure before buying the final length of fabric. The swatch service is quick and enabled me to make my choice.

    Dont know what you mean

    Because I'd never done the swatch thingy before, I had no idea how to do it. I wish that you had had clear instructions as to how to pay for it etc. I had to send a couple of messages to my provider, who again just left me to it, and I was unclear as to what exactly I was paying for ~ 1 swatch or 2 or what. However, I got the swatches, again they weren't clearly labelled and had a different reference number on them to the reference number on the add so I wasn't sure what I would get ~ after another message to my provider I eventually got the one I wanted and was happy. A difficult and unclear process that took me a lot of patience and time, and had there been an easier method I would have gone to a different provided.

    Great colours,close weave with firmly attached white backing.

    The colours are so lovely I am still having difficulty in choosing which to choose! The fabric has a close weave with white backing firmly attached, no pulling apart. I am about to wash a sample to determine any shrinkage. If there is I would wash the purchased length of fabric before fitting, but would be surprised should this be necessary.
