The Panasonic KX-TGA650 is an upgrade over the 2.4 GHz technology and operates on reduced traffic. Outstanding security protection and incredible clarity are hallmarks of the Panasonic handset phone. The standard base unit for this 2-line cordless handset phone fits up to four handsets in total. Caller ID and call waiting come standard with the Panasonic KX-TGA650 as well as an answering system and interphone features. Furthermore, the Panasonic handset phone uses four batteries for 264 hours of standby time. The handset can be safely added anywhere there is an AC outlet for the charger. More than an office phone, it is useful for the bedroom or garage or in any room that needs a phone. Additional features include two-line operation and programmable ringers. The 2-line cordless handset phone allows for more than one user at a time to utilize different handsets. The Panasonic KX-TGA650 also allows users to make a conference call in two outside lines and conduct a three-way conversation. In addition, it makes it possible for users to put a current call on hold to make another call when needed. Finally, the 5.8 GHz technology ensures that it will not interfere with wireless networks such as 802.11b or 802.11g Wi-Fi.

    If you need a high-quality 2-line office phone with amazing range reception that will pair with up to four handsets (the maximum), this is your phone. Although this particular model, Panasonic KX-TG6500, is no longer available brand-new from Panasonic, it's still possible to buy one through "fine used merchandise" stores such as eBay. The sound quality is very good, especially with the Voice Enhancer feature which is particularly useful in noisy surroundings, or to the hard-of-hearing among us. What makes this phone especially remarkable is the external antenna on both base unit and handsets, which is far superior to anything with a built-in antenna. The external antenna affords greater range, superior reception, and better clarity, by far. In my experience, this is still the best desk ...
