The crimpers do function as advertised, though there are some improvements that you can implement to make them more reliable. 1. If you are going to buy these, invest in a can of Plasti-Dip from the local home improvement store. The handles can easily pinch you with the default settings and the edges of the casting can be sharp. 2. Change the default setting of the tool. This can be done by rotating the disc that controls the jaws and rotating (firm finger pressure on the base plate while turning the jaws worked for me. For flip off caps and Flip off / tear off the tool needs to be adjusted properly to keep from smashing the seals (distorting them). 3. Place a spacer (stop point) between the handles to ensure consistency of crimps. I used a round acrylic disc approximately 1/4" thick just behind the spring that was glued in place. Doing so will ensure that your crimps are consistent no matter how much you squeeze the handles together since it provides an absolute stopping point. The only other thing that this product lacks is a clip or catch to keep the handles closed when the tool is not in use (present in all US versions of crimpers that I own). Even with these caveats I still give the product a 4 star rating based on price and utility.Read full review
