I was attracted to this camera with its supplementary Wide-angle & Telephoto lenses giving an optional 21mm & 177mm (in 35mm camera terms). The basic zoom covers 28-90mm (in 35mm terms) which is wider than a lot of compact cameras. For under £20 it was worth a go despite its 5Meg sensor size. If you want flash you have to press a separate button to have the pop-up flash appear, which I like as I hate having to fiddle with small buttons to cancel it,as I don't use flash much. The F2.9 w/a aperture & F5.5 tele aperture is good given the camera's size as is the shutter speed range from 2 secs to 1/2000 sec. The ISO range is from 100-800, which is standard for cameras in this class. I was quite surprised by the lack of distortion when compared to my 5Meg Canon Ixus, which I stopped using because I was sick of that problem. It will be interesting to compare noise levels as well as that's another bug bear of mine, so next time I'm hillwalking in poor weather I'll see how it performs. The Fuji also uses x2 AA batteries which is a boon as well, as I don't need to take another battery charger with me. It even has that rarity of an optical viewfinder for when its too bright to see the image on the screen, and I need to allow a little extra as the viewfinder only shows 80% of the picture area. You also have the option of screwing filters on to the camera and supplementary lenses which is a big failing of so many compact cameras. The std accessory attachment is 37mm while both extra lenses are 49mm, so there's no problem with cost or choice here. So all in all, a nice little camera.Read full review
