I have a larger, horizontal, seat pack and didn't like how bulky it was. After seeing a few on other peoples bikes that were smaller and vertical, I went looking and found this one. It's perfect. With careful packing I got everything in - 1 Tube, 1 CO2 canister and dispenser, 2 tire levers, small Allen wrench set and my ID. That is the most this will hold. You could take another CO2 canister by dropping the Allen wrench set, which I'll probably do. This isn't as bulky and looks good. Anything smaller than this and the tube wouldn't fit with the gear you need. Check my photo.

I've owned several Topeak products over the years and I have noticed a decline in quality. First of all the Topeak badge is sewn on very crooked, the taillight mounting tab is sewn on severely crooked(1/2" off to the right) and the entire saddle bag settles crooked facing the right of the saddle. No more Topeak bags for me.

This is the perfect size to hold a small tire lever, 700c tube, CO2 inflator, patch kit and mini multi tool. Perfect for the essentials but no room for anything else. I have found all Topeak bags to be top quality in materials and workmanship. Holds tight to the bike well.

This is to small to fit a phone. It will barely fit a flat repair kit. If your worried about wind resistance this is barely wider than a seat post.

I keep a 700C tube, tire levers, CO2 inflator head/cartridge, a multitool, and a little Park patch kit in it. There's little to no room for anything else after that. If you're looking to carry the bare minimum needed to fix a flat or make a basic adjustment on the road, this pack works great. Otherwise, get the next size up.
