Can't be knocked at the price. I wanted something to give me extra support when balancing on walls and rocks, where my tripod is less than useful. It's lightweight but incredibly sturdy, even at full height, and it's strong enough to mount my DSLR so I can get shots over crowds. The UP-400 is a great gadget and highly recommended as a new addition to any photographers toolbox.

Does stable apply to a monopod? It has good stability features: Option of ground spike or fine surface foot which screws down over the spike, padded hand grip at top. It is well designed to give good height while being compact to carry. It feels very robust despite being quite light. Height adjustment is very easy. It is well usable on its own with just a camera but I added a ball head with quick camera release because I have multiple cameras.

This Monopod is great and sturdy, easy to extend, and is great for my DSLR EOS CAMERA. Not to mention looks good, too.
