So I've been looking for the discontinued GTO series, which I already have in my other car (GTO638 and GTO938), but whoever still has them is charging way more than they're worth. I read the GX series' specs and they seem similar, except the twwter is soft dome and not mylar. I installed them and they sound as good as the older GTO series, which made me very happy. I do like the older GTO series' look better. I'm powering them at 4 ohms with a ZED Audio-made Lanzar Opti 200.2, and they can get excessively loud while remaining clear and composed. I do feel their external crossover lets too much bass get to the woofers. Because I have a sub, I cross them with the amp's built-in crossover that sounds really good. Overall, I'm super pleased with their sound quality and value, especially since you can buy them now for $70. Get them while you can before they're almost gone and the price is raised. God bless you!Read full review

Good crisp sound but not alot of bass production. Did not come with the wires to hook them up . Stock and other speakers have better bass response and production. After purchasing this set I found the same set for 20$ less on here also . If you want any bass at all you will need a different brand or a sub woofer as these are only good for mids and highs .

The speakers are great, installation was easy, just took a lot time and patience. The issue I have now is that my one of my tweeters gave out on me and Iβm pretty bummed out about that. Now I just have one tweeter working and the other one sounding like an old speakers that just busted. Overall i would recommend them fora better quality than the stock speakers

Never heard of Blinq before, but took a try given good reviews and almost unbelievable price for JBL component speakers. Box the speakers arrived in was really beat up as the factory box was just placed in a much larger box with almost no packing material - so you can imagine how much the factory box was thrown around. But the factory packing was tight and tough, so speakers arrived in perfect shape. Installed in my 99 Toyota Celica's to replace blown factory mid-woofers and tweeters found in doors. I had already replaced the 4 inch mids in the doors with Kicker DCS series. Paired with the Kicker's, and using the factory amp, the JBL's shine. Bass is not comparable with a sub, but is super strong and solid for my little convertible. Tweeters sound bright, but not shrill. Boosted just above the middle setting on the head unit, the tweeters replicate highs very well, with little distortion even at high volume levels. Difference in overall sound from doors is day and night. I'm now sitting in between two walls of sound - very cool. With the price I stole the JBL's for, and what I paid for the other front and new rear speakers, I upgraded the factory 8-speaker system (which used to kick ***) about 50% for a grand total of $140! How can you beat that...? Read full review

It sounds great. Solid bass, and clear highs. No need for amplifier with my high powered aftermarket stereo. Sounds as if I already have a subwoofer, when turned up, there is such low distortion. Huge improvement on the factory spearkers, which were pretty decent.
