I have had a pill cutter like this for 20 years. I scoured the internet to find one for my mother and until I looked at my old one and got the brand name, I had no luck. I was thrilled to finally find it. It is identical. What I like so much is that the pill grips are made of rubber or something similar and flex enough to hold your pill in place. The others are just hard plastic and your pills slip all over the place. I split some of my tablets into eighths! I need that grip. So glad I finally found it!

This is the cutter you want, period. That little lock makes it safe and easy to use as a pill carrier. Just transfer your day's needs into it from your mediset and your are off and running. Every other cutter I've seen requires a heavy rubber band, like the ones that come on some produce.

I've been cutting pills for more than 15 years and have tried many other pill splitters. I bought this pack of 3 hoping that at least 1 of them would cut properly, not cut it into 1 large piece and 1 small piece. I was lucky and got 2 that work correctly. The lid on the third one was not tight enough and allowed the blade to move slightly while I was cutting the pill. I cut 21 pills at one time to fill up my pill holders for the week. I've found the best way to use these cutters is to hold the cutter in my right hand (I'm right-handed), insert the pill with my left hand and close the lid, and then squeeze the cutter with my right hand to cut the pill. It cuts almost perfectly 99.9% of the time, even with pills that do not have scored lines meant for cutting. Also, wipe the blade after each cut with a damp (not wet) tissue to remove any residue (dust) from the blade. When I'm finished, I run the cutter under warm water and I'm ready for the next week. I will never buy any other brand of pill splitter again. These are definitely the best you can buy!Read full review

The blade went dull on my older one so I was surprised to find another one identical to mine. I tried an all plastic splitter but the pill wouldn't sit still. The pill stays put on this one because of the rubber pad the pill sits on. I really needed a new one. I have a couple of tiny pills that need to be split but my little fingers are too big.

This pill cutter is a piece of junk, cheaply made and crushes pills. Once you place a pill of any shape into it it's almost impossible to turn it to the direction needed to get the center in line to cut in half due to the cutters Lock. Also, when you close the top to cut the pill which is already scored it doesn't cut clean and brakes the pill in pieces.
