Single Japanese blade with that razor gives the same results as well known producer multi-blade plastic razor. The difference is that after 6 uses the blade is still sharp, while plastic wasn't after 3. The biggest advantage for me is that even with a longer beard I can easily shave it and the razor is never clogged up with foam and hair, while plastic razor need to be rinse under water every few seconds and little moves. At the end there is a long-term cost saving by buying blades instead of razors. The only cons to me are that it is not allowed to carry in cabin bag to the airport and could be a bit lighter if made from other metal (but probably at the same time may be too expensive). Overall great investment. Highly recommended.

You will get as good a shave from this as a Merkur, Muhle or Jagger. It's solidly made and the head is based on one of the major brands. I have razors from the well known brands and this razor is as good. A mild razor head. Do not be put off by the modest price.

I expected a good shave, the company are well regarded, but the shave wasn't as close as I have had from others. My previous Edwin Jagger was better but the thread went in the handle
