This was a grail piece that's been on my collector's list for quite some time now. It's been hard to locate one, especially in decent condition but this one is excellent! They'res no damage whatsoever, all of the pages are intact and the movie within plays well and is packed with special features. Moreover this came with the original protective clear case which more often than not is hard to come by...and all for a great price!

The classic gory films directed by Sam Raimi in awesome packaging. What more can you ask for? These films have just the right amount of blood, gore, and low-budget effects to make any gore-hound squeel with delight. Also, there are zombies, chainsaws, and about a hundred classic lines that will have you and your buddies laughing and quoting the movie. Both movies are definately cult classics. Look for sheryl getting raped by trees in the first film. Also, look for the talking moose head, laughing lamp, and bloody battle between ash and his evil hand that he had to hack off at the wrist. Goofy, Gory fun for everyone! (also see Army of Darkness, the third film in the series.)
These movies are directed by Sam Raimi (The director of the Spiderman movies). They both star Bruce "The Chin" Cambell. The first is a cult classic. It has a few memorable scenes. The second was a sequal/remake. It is the same story, but with more money put into it. Bruce Cambell is histerical in it. These movie are the type that you either love or hate. I happen to love them. I watch them and laugh. While these are horror movies, they are more silly than scary. I would rent them first before buying. If your a fan, then these special editions have lots of extras, including a great audio commentary by bruce and sam. I would highly recommend!!
First off, 2 of the best horror movies ever made hands down. The special edition packaging is another bonus, as both movies are made to look exactly like the book of the dead from the movies. It's just an awesome looking set for anyone who is into horror. There are tons of bonus features and the picture is restored also so it is just a no-brainer that you need to own this!
Evil Dead trilogy is up there with George Romero's original Night Of The Living Dead. Albeit lesser known, the ingenuity of it's time is incredible. The slap-stick humor is also a fantastic attribute. I mean, c'mon. College kids alone in a cabin far far off in the woods, alcohol, the necronomicon, and Candarian demons. What more could you ask for?
