    Good quality shelf once u figure how to install it

    no instructions come with it but its just a remove a bolt and reinstall the same bolt install ,,,good sturdy shelf once installed ,,stainless grill rack and folds down so you can put the GMG cover on with no hassles i guess you could put about 40 lbs on it or so,, use it to set the meat plate on and free up hands to load the grill as i do a lot of jerky smoking on mine

    Alterations needed

    Love the shelf, but not designed for the new Daniel Boone grills. The new grills have two bolts in the front holding the legs on. The shelf has only one hole which would be fine for the older grills (only one bolt holding the legs). The shelf either had to be mounted real low or new holes need to be drilled to move the shelf up to its proper height. I drilled new holes in the mounting bracket and it worked great.

    Good but......

    Would be a better front shelf if it had hooks on each end that fit on the inside edge opening of the grill like the old Traeger front shelf. Easy on, easy off and a solid 1 piece shelf. This one does fold up pretty good but it seems a little flimsy.

    Handy to have

    My GMG DB grill is a couple years old so I have used it quite a bit. Adding this shelf took 5 minutes and is a great addition. Sturdy enough to hold heavy items and then folds down and out of the way when not needed.
