Works well and is accurate. A few things I don't like about it are: it takes a little while to get used to the menu driven modes; the newer versions of this particular model (like this one) added a "step" mode which may be useful for running and if you have a step monitor but I don't run and if you activate the heart monitor you must exit out of the step mode or it won't track calories burned - simple but annoying; there's no way to replace the strap if it breaks (why I bought this one). I looked at the new line up of products from Polar and they all had features I didn't want/need plus I'd have to purchase a different heart rate monitor strap as mine was not compatible with the newer products. A used watch is certainly a good value and the matching heart rate transceiver has an excellent rating.Read full review

The plastic watch band cracked and broke within 2 hours of arrival, and since the band is integral to the watch case itself it cannot be replaced. So I have a functioning heart rate monitor with no way to wear it. Hence a complete waste of money.
