If you're a ukulele user a baritone ukulele is bigger than expected. Almost as big as a mini martin guitar. (Which I also own) when I got this instrument it came shipped very safely. It was super neat and it looked super cute. I loved all the features look wise, and I love how easy it is to carry. It's very light. The sound is loveable. Definitely one of my favourite instruments I own. $95USD well spent. Only downside is that the lower E string gets out of tune easily, but compared to all the ups the instrument makes up for it all. Love it.

I took a flyer and bought one of these (Rosewood laminate) with a discount due to a "factory defect". It took me about an hour to find the defect, even though the listing showed where to look. Great deal, the defect was so minor. It arrived earlier than expected, before the time frame quoted. I bought it as an "everyday beater" uke, but I wanted one with 3 band EQ. I am pleasantly surprised. Setup was very good - close to perfect. I may file some of the fret ends way up the neck where I never play, but most are fine. the fret wires are level, string height is a little higher than Mya Moe would stipulate, but still easy to fret and play. My theory is: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It sounds good - loud, louder than I expected from a laminate. Maybe a tad on the "tiinny side", but for the price, this thing is awesome. I don't know what brand of strings are on this - the tenor size mentions Aquila - but the baritone model doesn't seem to say. D string is wound, other 3 are nylon. I may try to improve the sound with a string change, but for now, I'm leaving these on as they are very much acceptable. Oh, and it came with an allen wrench for the truss rod should it ever need adjustment. The truss rod access is from the headstock, like a guitar would be - very unusual for a baritone. Kala puts the access for truss rod on baritones in the sound hole. This is the first uke I've had with an off-center sound hole; the concept seems to work. I think it gives more soundboard rattle with the off-center hole. Because of the off center sound hole, you cannot use a Humilele humidifier that hangs between the strings. On the other hand, with a laminate, you don't have to be overly concerned with humidity. I've got 3 other baritones now, all solid wood instruments. They sound deeper and richer, and cost a whole lot more. And, what's with the rodent on the top? Cuteness, I guess. But, for fun with no worries, and all the bells and whistles, this is THE ONE.Read full review

I have enjoyed this uke. When I received it the action was way too high. However, with adjustment, I got it to where it needs to be. There is also a bit of a bow in the neck. This is not enough to affect play, but it should have been checked prior to shippage. I realize this is a relatively inexpensive uke, but small things like this can quickly ruin your public image. Plus someone without lutherie skills would not have like the high action.
