I have amassed a fair collection of airbrushes in 40 years and have used Badger, DeVilbiss, Iwata, Harder & Steenbeck and the original Kodak Aztek as well as its modern Testors equivalent. I heard the word about the Krome and bought it on a whim from the UK distributor on eBay. All I've done to it is add a quick release coupling, shoved some paint in the cup and had a blast. It's heavy, off set by great balance and feel in the hand. Super smooth trigger action. A good distance between the paint cup and the trigger so you don't cramp your trigger finger. A little moulded plastic finger rest. The plating isn't the best and the cup lid isn't brilliant but you do get one. Then the real test: does it work? Oh yes! Badger have had a play with the angle of taper on the needle and it's a revelation. Straight into pencil thin, smooth lines. This is out of the box, no fettling or fiddling. No splutter, no clogging except for the dreaded Vallejo "2 minutes then block up" which was actually more like 5 minutes. So I shot Vallejo Air, Tamiya Acrylic, GSi Acqueous Hobby Acrylic, GSi Lacquer with no problems. Then I had a try of the new MMP Acrylic range, with their own thinner and their Polyurethane Additive. Wow! What a combination, they were made for each other. What else? Very easy to clean, good access into the paint cup. It comes fitted with a 0.2 needle with a 0.4 for the bigger jobs, fitted with a 2 prong air cap but there's also a cap with no guard for really close up work. Which you'll end up doing as the needle is almost immune to tip drying and tou can go close in with confidence. It comes in a neat black case and theres a free bottle of needle juice. Excellent value and a brilliant airbrush.Read full review

I am a big fan of Badger products, the Renegade Krome airbrush sits nicely in your hand & as all Badgers range the trigger is smooth, it is a pleasure to use. The large paint cup allows easier cleaning & I have used ordinary acrylic paint reduced right down to ` milky ` to cover larger areas, without much trouble. This airbrush is as capable as the user where fine lines can be produced all day long. My only negative is the back lever RK-041 is not connected to the needle tube -043 making strip down awkward, even a side cutaway to hold the back lever whilst inserting the needle & would simplify cleaning. The Patriot 105 remains my favourite all-round airbrush it would be so nice to have it`s paint tip arrangement in the whole range, easier to find when dropped. So overall if you want quality at a reasonable price (prices vary greatly) the Renegade Krome arrives in a very nice case, looks, feels & performs very well indeed in my opinion for what it`s worth.Read full review

This is top quality airbrush,it lay's perfecly balanced in your hand, come's with two needle sets (0,21 and 0,33) and trigger control is perfect. I use it for airbrushing my own built scale models mainly camouflages. (airplanes and military vehicle's) It is incredible what you can do with this airbrush, asspecialy on low airpressure. I sincerely recommend this airbrush to any modeler, who wants to take the next step in finishing his or her models.

I agonised for weeks on buying an 'expensive' airbrush, and trawled the web trying to decide between Iwata, Badger or H&S. In the end, I went for the Krome for the balance of cost, two needle set up, durability and frankly the look! It's a massive improvement on my two chinese brushes that came with my compressor. More accurate, easier to control and pretty easy to clean. Criticisms: none just yet, apart from the parts at the front end are easy to lose if you're not careful. Highly recommended if you want a good mid-range brush for modelling aircraft, tanks and the like.

i have used a lot of airbrushes, including top end iwatas, the krome is as good as anything out there, equally at home as a coverage or detail brush, its as good as it gets, so much so that i traded in my micron
