The good side of the product is it is upgraded with regards to Operating system, the Hard drive capacity, Microsoft office is installed and the memory. The bad side is, it is a 6 year-old mac pro. It heats pretty fast and the battery doesn't last that long. The physical aspect is that there are more dents and dings than expected. The resolution is not as sharp.

its a 2010 so it needs a new hard drive that is ssd or sshd hybred...so that the start time is better...cause its painful how long it takes to boot up...even after i erased everything on hard drive and started over..when you do that on a pc, it gets noticeably faster on start up and download... i never owned a mac before i don't know how fast the start ups are but this is 35 secs or 40 secs before it starts up too home page... my dell stars up fast and goes right to desktop as soon as i sign in...i expect a great laptop as macs are to be the same or better however, i am going to put in a new hard drive hybred sshd...hoping that it will atleast start up in 22 secs which is still longer than my dell

I am a semi pro photographer so I wanted to upgrade to a Mac for photo editing. I couldn't be happier with this computer. It is fast, sleek and works like no other computer I've ever had. All of my pictures, music, notes and contacts are there with no trouble at all. The deal I received was outstanding. Computer was a couple of years old and a referb but it was loaded with great programming and has worked flawlessly. Had Microsoft work already loaded by I find the apple programs just as user friendly and they allow for a bit more creativity. I was a PC and adroid person for many years because I thought apple was a bit too proprietary and cost prohibitive. Well I am a convert never to return. You cannot argue with this products reliability and performance. I have had PCs for years and had to take them to computer shop to be cleaned and a referb to stay current even with virus protection. Find myself spending more money over the course of the years with PC. Seller was great no issues just as promised will use again!Read full review
I bought this laptop for $750, and it was by far the best purchase for the money. It came with Intel i7, OS 10.8 (I upgraded it to 10.8.4, no problem), 500 GB of space, 2.66 GHz, and an unexpected bonus. The specs had shown that this laptop came with 4 GB RAM, but it showed up with 8 GB! And to think, that was the only thing that might've kept me from buying this model. This computer is fast. With 8 GB, it can do anything. I can't stand other computers now, maybe that's a bad thing, but I'll have this one for a long time so that shouldn't make a difference. The screen is big and sharp, no need to pay extra for retina when it's still fantastic compared to PCs. The only downside is that I'm not sure how much longer this system will be upgradable for all the new things Apple comes out with, since it is a 2010 model, but I'm hoping it will be compatible with all the future techy stuff or I'll be disappointed. Although, it works well enough as is, so any updates they put out might not make too much of a difference. A slight disappointment: since the model I bought was used, the battery is at "Needs Replaced" status and only runs for a little over 3 hours without charge, instead of, what, 8 hours? I could really care less, since I mainly have it plugged in anyway. Additionally, just compare those 3 hours to a PC, which will run maybe 1.5 hours without charge. This laptop is the perfect size, it's not too big, or too heavy, and now my parent's 13 inch Mac looks and feels teensy. I love that I can see so much more when I'm editing photos, and since this computer is fast, Adobe Photoshop is a breeze. The larger speakers on the sides of the keyboard are also a bonus; I'm wondering how loud they can get, since with the 13 inch, all it has is a small circle of speaker above the keys, and those alone can get pretty loud. Then consider what the the 100x bigger speaker on this 15 inch can do...yeah. In all seriousness, this laptop is a steal for its price, and with all the up-to-date specs it has on it right now, there's no point in spending twice as much for the newest MacBook Pro when this one has the exact same qualities. The only difference is that this one was made in 2010 and the others in 2013. I don't see a significant enough difference to change my mind. Buy this version, and you'll save $650, rather than spend $1500 on the latest version. Then you can always buy another 2010 version Mac with the money you saved, or upgrade the 2010 you have!Read full review
