      Go for it...

I have no less than four different pedal board rigs, and have one of these 2Plus power supplies for each one. Though not an expert on pedal board power supplies, I did do some research and this USA-made Voodoo Lab PP2+ seemed the best for my needs, re quality, ease of use, etc. I like the isolated outputs as well. I haven't used the specialty cables for pedals requiring higher voltage yet, but all eight outputs will yield the standard 9V (I only use five or six 9V pedals per board) and have had no problems. The courtesy A/C outlet is handy as well, as I have one boutique distortion pedal that uses A/C. The only issue I had was with the mounting brackets for the Pedal Train brand pedal board (purchased separately). I'm not sure how hot these power supplies get, but the wider brackets ...

    • Great way to power your pedalboard

The Pedal Power 2 Plus supplies clean, quiet power to your pedals. One of the added bonuses is that it has a courtesy plug right on it. I have a pedal that takes 15V of power so isn't capable of being powered by most power supplies. But with this one, I can plug in the power adapter into the courtesy plug on the Pedal Power 2 Plus and power it that way, with only one cable necessary to plug into the wall. All in all, there's a reason why the Voodoo Lab supplies are recommended so often. They do the job well!

    • perfect

Plenty of power for 8 effects. I have an Echoplex pedal that has a fairly high power requirement, so when it failed to work with the power supply, I freaked a little. Then I switched a few outlets around to get the echo into a higher power spot and every thing is good. Pay attention to your power requirements.I never had a problem before with noise or anything, but I want the peace of mind that I would get all I possibly can from my power supply, so I bought this one. One small gripe is that there is no on/off switch, so you just have to un-plug it from the wall. I went ahead and added my own switch, which voids the warranty, so take that into consideration.

    • Does what it's designed to do extremely well.

There has been a plethora of power supplies flooding the market since Woodoo Lab conceived of the Pedal Power 2 Plus, but few of them have bested it. At the exception of a few unique designs such as the Tru-Tron which takes unregulated 12 VAC, this one practically does it all without bogging down or inducing noise. I recently bought a second one for my expanding pedalboard in spite of much research into the newer breeds. And though Strymon and Cioks may be the answer for power-thristy digital pedals, albeit at a substantial cost, the Power 2 Plus will handle a couple of those big boys easily. So yes, I do recommend this PS very highly!

    • Good product: watch out for finicky pedals

I received and installed this on my pedal board. It doesn’t come with any brackets, so I had to improvise with some L brackets from True Value. After testing each output with a pedal, I found that the unit can be a little finicky when powering some sensitive pedals. I used canned air to try to clean any debris that may have found its way into the output jacks. Finally I licked the terminal on the disconnected wire and my pedals started working. It didn’t fix my initial problem with my pedals (my delay and reverb are distorting) but it does feel nice to have a good power supply. This isn’t a fix-it-all solution, but it’s much better than a wall wart setup. The power supply brick is solidly built to last. With a little ingenuity, you can find some DIY brackets at the local hardware store ...
