Getting hard to find z series motherboards for overclocking older intel cpu. This one seems stable for an i5 2500k. Running stable to 4.6ghz. Haven’t tried going higher but I’m sure I could. Getting a little more life from this aging platform as my media computer in my entertainment system. As deals go the price is still very high for these z77 boards. I figure $100 ish for this one wasn’t too bad.

i'm extremly pleased with the motherboard, everything works perfectly like it should and the shipment was relatily fast. Hope it's gonna last me for at least another 4years :D (remember, you also have to add import taxes since it's a shipment from china).

The P8Z77-V LX2 is a good board from the past generation of Intel processors for the 2nd and 3rd generation. It's not top of the line but that is what prevents it from hitting a premium price. Instead you get a reasonably priced motherboard not subject to the inflation that some technology faces when it is taken out of production.
