Yes, it is huge but I owned an Epson 2400 before and that was very close in size. Any 13x19 printer is going to have a big footprint. Inks are excellent and while 3rd party inks like Precision are attractive, I'll stay with Canon inks for now, even though they are expensive. Key to getting the most ink use out of the printer is to never turn it off so it doesn't go through its cleaning cycle - only mixes the inks from time to time. If you do that, consumption is normal. Setup and use of ICC profiles is easy and results are spot on, especially if you print from .jpgs I print a few 8x10s per week and an occasional 13x19. My inks should last me at least 6 months or more. Very happy with purchase.

While I was setting this printer up (strictly following the manual), it went into a stoned state (error B200). I was intending to take it to an official repair center, but next day it surprisingly woke up, and finished the setup. And I've found a couple more similar stories on the Internet, so it's not only me. But besides that setup hiccup, now it works flawlessly, and produces brilliant images. Note that the printer is quite big and heavy, so plan ahead where you want to place it.

This printer is amazing and prints better labs than most professional labs I have used! I am a professional photographer and quality is important to me.

Impressive construction and superb quality prints. Highly recommended but only if you plan on making money with it otherwise it will be expensive to maintain. If you're in the market for this printer follow Jose Rodriguez on YouTube...many of your questions will be answered.
