I purchased the Hogue handall beaver tail grip sleeve for my G43 because I have got used to shooting my Gen 4 Glocks with the beaver tail adapter on them and I thought this would be an easy transition for me. It was! The G43 now fits my hand better than it did with just the factory grip. The sleeve is a bit difficult to put on, as the fit is extremely tight. But this is good, because when it is installed, the grip does not slide or move at all. It's position is fixed, almost like it is part of the Glock. I found the best (only?) way to get the sleeve on is to rake a hand held hair dryer or maybe a heat gun and thoroughly heat up the sleeve before attempting to slide it on the G43's grip. Then just work it up the grip until it is situated correctly. You might have to reheat it before finishing. The fit is superb, and I truly believe that it aids me in my accuracy and even reduces recoil somewhat. I have already ordered one in pink for my wife's G43, which has a pink slide, and I am going to order another one soon for my third G43 and my G42 .380. If you decide yo purchase one got your Glock, I truly believe you will not be disappointed. Read full review

The Hogue HANDALL Beavertail Grip Sleeve for the Glock 43 has a fantastic grip texture making it much easier to get a snug grip on your firearm. It adds a little extra length from front to back on the grip which helps in finger placement on the trigger. A little extra length tends to put the trigger more in the pad of the finger and not in the finger crease. The only nick I see is that it also adds girth on the side of the grip frame which has a pronounced bulge on each side. It is not significant but does add a bulge right in the middle of the grip frame on each side. It is only personal preference but I would rather see a flat side and even a bit more front to back thickness in lieu of the side bulge. Overall nice feel though in reference to the grip texture.

Grips are great once on the gun. Putting them on is VERY difficult. They come with a tip to cut "shoehorn" strips from the plastic packaging; a waste of time. Watch the Hogue video on YouTube. Heat them, stretch them a lot by hand and use the window cleaner as lubricant. It's the only way to get them on. You will be rewarded!

I wasn't sure I was going to like these on my G42, but boy was I wrong. This Hogue grip sleeve made a huge difference in the feel of the gun and wasn't bulky or uncomfortable at all in concealed carry. I added the Clip Draw Belt Clip and 90% of the time I carry the G42 in my front pocket and thought this grip sleeve would make it less desirable, not the case at all. If anything, this made the G42 feel even more comfortable in my hands. I highly recommend this product. FYI.. It is a "little" tough to slip on, but it's nowhere as tough as some of the reviews I read. I think some people just don't have common sense..LOL... just youtube a few different videos and you'll find the easiest way for you to get this on..... AND MAKE SURE IT'S UNLOADED FIRST!

After reading the installation instructions, I decided to pass on those tasks and just muscle it onto the gun. It wasn't easy, but it was possible. Overall I'm pleased with it the product. It's a good product for the price and is what I expected. I'll be putting on an extended mag release though because the OEM one is a bit difficult with the grip sleeve installed (wasn't all that great without the grip sleeve installed either).
