      Samsung TV 49 inch no standby light. bad power board.

      The board did allow the 49 " tv to power on. however, there were lines and a "paper burn" line on the upper left corner of the screen. I should have tried an initial setup but I choose to do a software update instead. Now the TV will not show a picture, it just has a red standby light for a few seconds then powers off and back on, repeatedly. Positive: I did learn a lot about the TV and the board.

      Samsung TV power board

      excellent , plug and play.. super easy to fix my Samsung TV .. a lightning damaged .. I wasn't sure this was the problem but for $30 it worth the try , just watched a Youtube video on how to open the TV and is was very simple

      I just managed to install the power boar...

      I just managed to install the power board but it still didn't fix my problem. TV only flashes on and off. I already replaced the main HDMI broad and all the ribbon cables. I guess I will give up now. It is time to buy another TV. It won't be a Samsung!
