I had been looking for this EXACT book! I grew up learning how to cook with this edition. My mother won't share, so I needed a copy to share with my daughters. This book was in good to excellent condition, better than expected. The recipes I grew up making, I can now share with my family. It has all the traditional recipies I know and love as well as ones that are wonderful, but forgotten un till now. I now use the different sections such as for canning and appetizers I didn't have a need for years ago. The 5-rings make it super easy to add my own notes in the back of the book as well as easily photocopy recipes whenever someone asks!
I was given a copy of this same edition of the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book as a wedding gift in 1979. My mom had used a much older edition, and I had always regarded her BH&G, along with her 1950 Betty Crocker's Picture Cook Book, as kitchen essentials. I cook a LOT, and after more than 30 years, my 1976 BH&G was falling apart. I use this cook book almost daily, know it well, and can find my favorite recipes in seconds. I certainly didn't want to have to get used to a whole new edition--which might not even contain some of my old favorites--so I searched eBay for a replacement, and I'm very happy with my "almost like new" one.
This cookbook is replacing one that I received as a wedding gift in 1978. I used the initial cookbook so much the pages are loose in the cookbook and you can certainly tell the favorite recipes! Great recipes and pictures. You will love this cookbook.

I receive this a cookbook like this for a wedding gift 1976. I used it as a newlywed every time I cooked because I couldn't cook or bake very well. It taught me so much with step by step photos and instructions. I used till it fell apart from the binder ring. For the last three years I missed it. Now because of eBay I have the return of a spectacular cookbook to cook those favorite meals we so loved all those years.

Had the paperback copy of this cookbook. After much use, it was falling apart. Newer issues of this cookbook do not have many of the recipes of this issue. Was glad to get a sturdy copy to serve me the rest of my years.
