This was the wrong item. It was not the right wiper motor for my 2001 Expedition. However, I can understand why it might have been mistakenly sold to me. These wiper motors look identical but function in a different manner. I cross-referenced the part with the dealership and they told me it was obsolete and not longer carried by the dealership. The part I required has an engineering number , F6DU 17B571-AB. The one I received is F78U 17B571-AA. It all worked out though.
