NO FLAME, DISAPPOINTING.
I bought this item, not, as others seem to have done, because of its safety in comparison to matches, but because of its length. I need something able to reach down to my candles, which are encased in wicker baskets & awkward to get to. Extra-long matches are not long enough & tapers don't seem to be available any more. I assumed this would produce a flame, but there's just an electronic filament, which doesn't do the job very effectively, taking several attempts to work, often breaking the wick, in the process. On the plus side, the item is solidly made & easily re-charged. Nevertheless, from my perspective, only two stars.I bought this item, not, as others seem to have done, because of its safety in comparison to matches, but because of its length. Good quality for the price.
After a few day of light using I can say it seems good for purpose. I use to light my candles and have a very good efficiency. I think it's worth the money. I'm not sure regarding battery (how long it takes between charges).
