      food grade knife oil can't be beat

      This the factory recommend oil for Swiss Army knives. The key difference from generic oil is this is food grade oil, so it claims, assuming you will use the SAK to cut fruits or edibles at some time. The dropper makes it easy to deploy. I tried making my own, it will cost $5 to buy a bulk set of eye dropper bottles, and $10 to get a small bottle of castor oil, which is similar and non-gunking. Overall cheaper in the long run per oz, if you use a lot of oil, otherwise its wasted. So the tiny SAK is cost effective for use with pocket knives. Just use regular oil on your other multitools.

      Victorinox knife oil - Good Stuff

      A nice medium weight natural food safe oil that protect and lubricates folding and fix blade knives. The bottle applicator tip if great for putting the oil where you need it. One of the most overlooked item is to oil a new knife before putting away. You don't want to be surprised with a rusty knife when you need to use it. Plus with the high cost of custom knifes, oiling the knife is a good way to protect your investment. - R.Yee

      Good purchase

      Just like described, it is very thick flowing and sticks well to the object. I cleaned my knife in warm water, just like described, tried it and then added the oil and moved the object back and forth until it really moved better and smoothly. No complaints here, works very well.
