Synopsis
We live in complicated, dangerous times. They are also hyper-technical times. As citizens who will elect future presidents of the most powerful and influential country in the world, we need to know--truly understand, not just rely on television's talking heads--if Iran's nascent nuclear capability is a genuine threat to the West, if biochemical weapons are likely to be developed by terrorists, if there are viable alternatives to fossil fuels that should be nurtured and supported by the government, if nuclear power should be encouraged, and if global warming is actually happening. This book is written in everyday, nontechnical language on the science behind the concerns that our nation faces in the immediate future. Even active readers of serious journalism will be surprised by the lessons that the book contains. It is "must-have" information for all presidents--and citizens--of the twenty-first century., Learn the science behind the headlines--the tools of terrorists, the dangers of nuclear power, and the reality of global warming. Real seller! Item as described, was reasonably priced, and packaged very well with thick/big bubble cushions, then placed inside a fairly tight box and then wrapped the box one more time with a good plastic wrap. It shows this seller cares about item not getting damage during transport. Thank you! My pleasure doing business with this seller.

Happy to receive item at fair price.. quick shipper also.. Unfortunately the item would not take a charge & was apparently defective.. contacted seller and they issued a refund .. The item was an 'open box' & appeared to be a new & unused item.. but for what ever reason, simply would not charge.. I Do not blame seller- this just seems to have been an electrical defect, perhaps bad battery or internal issue.. seller was understanding & refunded the purchase price.. Very Professional, thank you

  • A MODEL FOR TRANSPARENT DISCOURSE

It has been a long time since I've read a book on controversial subjects that approaches these subjects with balance and fairness. In other words, it seems the author is attempting honesty and transparency with the highly politicized subjects. He is seeking to educate rather than indoctrinate. This is also a book that takes complex issues and presents them logically and clearly. This book is a model then for the type of discourse needed in the world today, especially in the United States where it is difficult to find any unbiased attempts at providing information objectively and in such a way that allows the reader to make up their own mind! At the risk of exposing a bias myself, I believe the timing of this book is no coincidence- with a current president who is clearly under informed, ...

  • Excellent Read

Thought provoking way to think about physics in real life. No formula nor equations. Just good common sense, like every president should have.

  • Physics for Future Pesidents

This book is amazing! Today's issues discussed in plain english without political bias. No matter what age, this book is a must read. I feel I understand the world we live in a lot better and can sleep even better with the knowledge I have gained from reading this book.
