  • Good book, for English drivers NOT North American ones

As Haynes manuels go its an OK book. I prefer Haynes books and have a few British ones other than this one and they are usefull in the American market. Not so with this one. This book is not at all for the North American market as it seems to largely deal with British trailer law and is soft on the technical aspect, especially when it comes to the building your own trailer section. If building a trailer out of a British mail order catalogue and simply bolting it together is for you great, but if you want to know how to really do it then don't buy this book. If you want to see pictures of station wagons and 1/4 tons towing campers go for it.

  • Not useful for U.S.

This is a buyer's guide rather than a builder's guide. Most of the info is specific to the UK and EU and their regulations relating to towing and trailers. The only trailer built was from a bolt-together kit, which is understandable considering the heavy regulation UK/EU trailers are subject to. If you're in the US and looking for help with trailer design or construction, Glen-L has a much better book.
