    My hidden latches

    Although listed for Chevys, I used them on a 1952 Ford F1 pickup. They were easy to install using a Dremel tool with cutting wheel and some touchup paint. They work well and look good, highly recommended.

    Bad instructions

    The product is nice. Was a great price for stainless for sure! But the instructions are very poor! Common sense you would mount this in the center of the tailgate edge? Nope! With the screws they give you it would have to be mounted tight to the inside edge of the gate. Too late I drilled the hole center. Now I have to figure out longer screws to mount it and hold it square. Shoulder bolt would work but you would have to re drill and tape the thread. Because the thread is 32/10 bolts size.

    Good product, less is exposed once in.

    This seems to be a well made product, have not installed it yet though. The one draw back is the instructions don't tell you how to fill in the space around it inside the tail gate as it is much smaller in diameter than the tail gate hole so you have to use some creativity for this. But other wise I like it.

    Cleaver design and nice quality.

    Installed a new '52 Ford pickup bed on my current project and didn't want the chains banging around and chipping the paint. This cleverly designed product installs in an afternoon, secured the tailgate, cleans up the appearance and removes any possibility of paint damage. What's not to like?
